The Many Futures of Synthetic DNA (in production) is a documentary about how recent advances in the technology of DNA synthesis are pointing the way to applications in areas like hyper-dense data storage, crops designed with specific traits, and high-performance textiles.
Since the sector has a shared interest in this story being told, the documentary is being supported by participating co-funders from different, non-competing parts of the industry. The co-funding model means that an organization need only contribute a fraction of the total cost of the project, while at the same time its expert’s insights will be shared with the audiences of the other co-funders as well as those of additional interviewees, not just its own — significantly multiplying the return on its investment.
Availability: Six participating co-funder slots available. Contact Ian Mason for more information.
